The Real Housewives of NYC’s Alex and Simon interview: Part 2!

Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen from Bravo TV’s “Real Housewives of New York City” were in Chicago on June 5th promoting their new parenting book “Little Kids, Big City”.

After a full day of TV and radio interviews, they took some time to chat with me in the backyard of the Wrigleyville apartment they were renting for the three day book tour.

We talked a lot about their book, but they also gave up some very interesting insights into the crazy drama and seemingly whacked-out behavior of some of their cast mates this season. If you’re a fan of the show, this interview will help to answer your “what-up with Kelly?” question.

I found them both to be really forthcoming and as “real” as they come. Their boys Francois and Johan can be heard in the background playing away. A few times throughout the interview Francois came running down needing assistance with his Tech Deck skateboard interrupting the interview (which I didn’t care about at all), and Alex and Simon were sweet and attentive and redirected him just like any good mom and dad. They really do seem to be great parents.
