Ah Ha! I figured out what I REALLY want for Mother’s Day!

I had been hinting around for a jewelry box so I can clear the chaos from on top of my dresser; a gift card to J.Crew would be lovely for summer clothes shopping; and I do think a tricked-out pair of black gladiator sandals would be fantastic matched with some of my summer dresses.

But today upon walking into my 11 year old’s bathroom it hit me like a ton of T.P.: What mommy really wants this Mother’s Day from the men in her life is a big, shiny, white, URINAL!!! Wouldn’t that be awesome?? Continue reading

Lean into Green

Today I shared some fun ways to help all of us lean into green this Earth Day. First off, I am no uber-environmentalist. I drive an SUV sometimes three blocks to my kids’ school and I really don’t see a time when I can live without the almighty Ziploc bag. But I do care about the planet and feel the need to reduce my carbon footprint by at least a couple of sizes. So here are few tips to get us all headed in the right direction. Continue reading

“Make your own dinner children, I’m finding friends on Facebook!”

We might be busy poking and following and sending virtual puppies to people we hardly know, while the very real people in our lives have come to learn that sometimes we become hearing impared so it’s best not to bug us mid-tweet unless someone is bleeding.

This growing behavior among moms has begun to unsettle and down right scare me a little. Because I’m one of them. Will our kids’ memories of us be over-peppered with images of us staring into a glowing flat screen telling them we’ll look at their artwork from school right after we finish poking the guy who sat behind us in 9th grade chemistry class?
